Love Sun Body sunscreens are non-toxic for use during pregnancy. A sunscreen must only contain ingredients that are generally recognized as safe and effective (GRASE). Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are the only sunscreen ingredients in pregnancy safe sunscreens that meet the FDA’s criteria for GRASE ingredients.

The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends everyone use sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB rays. Water resistant with a high sun protection factor (SPF) really helps, too; the AAD recommends using a sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30, which blocks 97% of the sun's rays. We offer SPF 30 and SPF 50 formulas, all are 80-minute water resistant.
Mineral sunscreens, or physical sunscreens as they are sometimes called, get the greenlight during pregnancy, and Love Sun Body sunscreens are clinically tested hypoallergenic.
